Summary: The Shack
Comment: Many of my friends really enjoyed this book. I got half way through it and just couldn't get into the story. I just couldn't grasp the authors concept of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I didn't finish reading the book.

Summary: God...not just for Christians anymore!!!!!
Comment: After having God (in a Christian context) used as an excuse for sexual, emotional and physical abuse of my sibling and myself, it has taken me years to form a relationship with the Divine that makes sense to me. More folks need to be challenged to step out of the thorny box that modern day christianity places them in. We need spirituality, not doctrine wrapped up in snowy white garments meant to make us into well mannered, reasonably odor free religious consumers. "Remember, Jesus loves a giver," so if you find this material offensive, run back to your congregation, dig deep into your wallet or pocketbook and get busy purchasing a sense of serenity and security. If you are up to accepting a broader and yes, more spiritual point of view, then read this book.

Summary: Makes You Think
Comment: While I disagree with some passages of this book because they closely mirror the "gospel of inclusion" that I've heard in other places, I found this book to be thought provoking and it changed my fundamental view of God. It helped me to fully understand the consequences of man's fall in a way that I don't think I did before. It is also an interesting depiction of the Trinity. The healing of Mack's pain was amazing and I found some healing in it as well. This is an unconventional portrait of God and His love and a truly beautiful story. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Best book I have read in a long time!
Comment: This was an amazing book, one of the best I have read in a long time. Many people may not agree with all of it, i dont think that was the intention of this book. This book opened my eyes to why bad things happen in this world. It really got me to think about what I believed. I finnished this book in three days!

Summary: the Shack
Comment: First started this book and was not even sure I liked it, then continued and was not sure for awhile, but by the time I finished it I realized how God can be all things to all people, whatever they might need in their lives, and He knows best. Think about this book all the time, it sure has stuck with me and I love how He loves us! A great read.
