The Atari Flashback 2.0 delivers the classic gaming sights, sounds and action that introduced so many people to the world of video games. It features the same wood grain paneling and look of the Atari 2600, and will capture the feel through two classic joysticks for multi-player competition and vintage controls. The system comes pre-loaded with over 30 classic games -- no new purchases are required, just connect it to your TV and play! The system that brought you hits like Asteroids, Breakout, Centipede, Lunar Lander, Millipede, Missile Command, Combat and Pong now has them all collected on one handy system. Expereince the start of the gaming revolution!

Customer Rating: Summary: Ahhh, my childhood Comment: I grew up with Atari 2600, and when the system got too dated and unrepairable I parted ways with the poor thing. But even today I still get wistful about Yar's Revenge. Sigh.
With this Flashback, I got along with it some of the classic games from both Atari and Activision (River Raid! Pitfall!), and a lot of these were games I loved.
The best things about this system are:
1) No cartridges to lose. All games are within the system.
2) A lot of the games I like. Adventure and Yar's are two of them.
3) the classic joysticks, but with a literal twist. The grip rotates, so the paddle games are playable.
This game did have a few drawbacks however:
1) Not all of the games I loved are on here. I had a personal liking for the Superman game, for example, and I don't see it on here. It'd have been nice if there was a slot where we could plug in an add-on device of more games (not a cartridge, but a platform the console could sit on for example with more games in it).
2) They didn't add an extra button or command that would let you exit the game you're in and go back to the game menu. You have to turn it off, turn it on to get back to the menu. While it's the same as when you had cartridges to plug in/remove, with this device it's unneeded. They should have thought ahead on that.
Overall, the love of the games will keep me playing with a grin on me face.
Customer Rating: Summary: Yet again, the eBay Mentality ruins everything... Comment: This system is great; I bought one BRAND NEW from walmart for the whopping retail price of $29!! This, coincidentally, is EXACTLY what this system is worth!! Fast forward a little bit, and now all of the "Collectors" want DOUBLE their money for storing one in their MOM's basement for what - a Year? Thanks for taking something cheap, simple, and fun - and sucking all the joy out of it like a GIANT leech. Yet again I'm forced to scour the internet looking for an actual retailer that isn't trying to strike his fortune off of plastic trinkets from China.
Atari Flashback SYSTEM = Highly Recommended
Plastic Junk Hoarders = HIGHLY DESPISED
Customer Rating: Summary: Who needs the Xbox 360 and PS3? Comment: Who needs the "360" and "PS3" when you've got an Atari?! This is the finest videogaming system of all-time! The graphics are so real, it feels like I'm IN the game. It's so intense! I can play for hours and hours, until my mom tells me to come out of the basement and get a job... Anyway, the Atari is far better than any of the videogaming systems of today. They are all outdated! The Atari is so ahead of it's time. I feel like I'm playing a videogame from the future!
Customer Rating: Summary: this product does not work. Atari should be ashamed!! Comment: The Atari Flashback2 product does not work.
Many of the games do not work at all.
For the games that do work, they do not work correctly.
The Atari company should be ashamed for putting such a
bad product on the market.
And for the people who gave this prudct a rating 4 or 5
you should be ashamed of yourselves. Why would you want
to mislead people like that.
Please do yourself a favor and do not buy this Atari
product.
Customer Rating: Summary: a riot Comment: So much fun to play the old games! My only issue is that you have to turn it off and then back on to change games. And where's Frogger????
