Customer Rating: Summary: Absolutely wonderful machine! Comment: I bought this printer after I got married so I could print out wedding photos my photographer gave me on CD. Instantly fell in love with this printer! The quality of the photos it printed out where just as good if not better than the ones I got from our photographer! I was able to make copies for family and friends, and have also used it constantly for baby photos! I love this printer and after 3 years plus of heavy use, it pooped out on me and am now in the search for a replacement machine! I hate to loose this machine but will probably be cheaper buying a new one than fixing this one. I'm sad to part with it but satisfied with the three great years of service!
Customer Rating: Summary: EPSON RX620 is HORRIBLE Comment: This printer has never worked correctly from the time of purchase. I bought it in 2005 and have had nothing but continuous issues. The print nozzles get stuck all of the time - I have had problems where I have cleaned the nozzles replaced the ink and it will go through the motions of printing, but then the paper comes out with no ink. I don't even use it that frequently. Now, the it will not feed paper. The roller will only roll the paper in one inch, start to print and then gives a paperjam error.
I am SO disappointed that I will NEVER buy another Epson product.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice all-in-one with one big glitch Comment: I bought this in late 2007 to replace a scanner (Epson Perfection 3170) and an earlier photo printer (Epson Stylus Photo R200) and gain a copier while reducing the amount of wiring and items on my desk. I was happy to learn that it uses the same six printer cartridges as the R200, which is good because I had a few extra, but disappointed that it perpetuates the same insipid glitch. That is: If you are out of, say, magenta ink, or cyan, or any of the other five colors but still have plenty of black, you cannot print. Even if all you want to do is print out a simple text document on plain paper in blank ink, you cannot print. You cannot print or copy or scan AT ALL if any of the colors is out, even if you are not using them. This is an annoyance, and an expense in cases where you might just want to use the device as a text printer or even just a scanner (which doesn't technically require any ink at all) for a while. If this is an across-the-board feature of the Epson line, I may look elsewhere for my next printer/copier/scanner. My father's HP all-in-one does not have this problem.
Customer Rating: Summary: negative scanning is horrible to non-existant Comment: The negative scanner will chop photos randomly, if it scans them at all. Usually it won't recognize that there is anything on the scanner at all and when switched to normal mode it scans part of the negative tray...lovely. I had some of these same issues with an Epson flatbed/negative scanner years ago, seems like they're sending out the same crappy and bugged software. I think this will be the last Epson product I own.
Customer Rating: Summary: TERRIBLE TERRIBLE printer!!! Comment: I will never buy another Epson printer as long as I live. The printer has a mind of it's own and tells you when it's "out of ink" even when the ink cartridge is half-full and won't let you print anything else until you replace it... and the ink cartridges are EXPENSIVE!
If that weren't bad enough, our printer flat out STOPPED WORKING after 18 months of use!!! It STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A PRINT JOB and gave an error message telling us that the parts in the printer were at the end of their service life, even though the pages from the first half of the print job looked fine. It will not print anything else until we replace the dumb parts. IF YOU BUY THIS PRINTER, YOU WILL SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ANF NOT GET VERY MUCH USE OUT OF IT!
SOOOOO NOT WORTH IT!!!
I honestly would not accept another Epson printer if they PAID me to!
