Customer Rating: Summary: Woodstock percussion zenergy 2 Comment: This instument has a lovely sound & works perfectly to begin & end meditation, especially in a group setting. Customer Rating: Summary: strange tones, not unpleasant, just odd Comment: I have one of the smaller, single-"bell" units and like the tone it produces, clear, ringing, with LOTS of resonances; this two-"bell" unit is much more complex in the tone(s) it produces. When both "bells" are struck, I can "feel the beats" between the tones generated, which are slightly offset. The resulting mixed sound is extremely complex compared to the single unit, and has an "Oriental" overcast to the tones as they mix. If you're a "pure western music" "trained ear", you might find this a little unsettling at first, since there doesn't seem to me to be a "normal diatonic" relationship between the primary tones, but rather an "Oriental" relationship. If you're looking for an "Oriental-ish" sound, this little unit should be considered. Customer Rating: Summary: Watch out if you have a dog Comment: Compact, well-designed, and well made chime with a sweet, high tone provided that the chime is struck very gently. However, if struck with anything more than the lightest touch, the chime sends my dog running for cover into the other room--must really hurt her ears. To solve the problem I bought a Tibetan singing bowl with a mid-range tone instead. Customer Rating: Summary: GREAT FOR EARLY CHILDHOOD CLASSROOMS Comment: I am a Kindergarten teacher and this works wonders in my classroom!!! My students love it!! Customer Rating: Summary: It works just fine Comment: This chime works just fine for me. Gets eveyone's attention at meetings I conduct, but is not intrusive like a gavel.
