Editorial Reviews:

The SAND ANCHOR is screwed into sand and prevents umbrellas from being blown away. The "Sand Anchor" is a high density polystyrene plastic product consisting of a U.V. treated auger. The auger is screwed into the sand, any beach umbrella can be inserted into the hole and locked in place with a thumb screw which prevents wind from blowing the umbrella out. (inside diameter of the umbrella shaft is 1 9/16"), 14 1/2" total length.

Summary: perfect
Comment: I go to a very sandy camp ground once a year for a week long event. This sand anchor was easy to use and easy to remove. It held the umbrella steady and stayed pretty much in place. I recommend it!

Summary: umbrella sand anchor
Comment: Excellent product at a good price and delivered on time - performs as advertised - anchored a 9' market umbrella on a fairly windy beach for a week with no problems

Summary: Lasted 5+ years
Comment: I got one of these, oh, it must be 5 or 6 years ago. This works better than shorter versions for looser sand found closer to the dunes on North Carolina's outer banks (the shorter ones work just fine most places). I've used it 4 or 5 days a year on average. Two of the three fins broke last week. It still works with one fin but I don't expect that fin to last too much longer :-) I bought this for $4 at a beach shop in October and am hoping to get a similar deal this year. Actually, I was hoping for a similar deal online but haven't come across one yet...
