Customer Rating: Summary: great grinder, but loud Comment: I love this grinder you have many grinding options with this machine, but the reason I gave it four stars instead of five, is it is sooo noisey, but arent they all??
Customer Rating: Summary: shadow1beeh Comment: We really love this machine. It is so nice and very convenient. Our company really likes it also. Nothing better than fresh ground coffee! We are glad we picked this one as the burr mill is the best. Our neighbor is the person that suggested this one as they also have it and we had coffee with them and remarked how great their coffee tasted.
Customer Rating: Summary: Lacking. Comment: The grinder worked great but for me after 1 month of use it seized up. Every cleaning lasts for 1 pot before the motor slows and begins to burn itself up.
Customer Rating: Summary: this grinder fell apart within a year Comment: My wife and I got one of these for Christmas. I've been disappointed with this and other Cuisinart equipment. The upper burr (grinding plate) is attached with screws to not very sturdy piece of brittle plastic of the hopper tube which broke into 20 pieces with less than a year of less than once per day use. The only fix is a new bean chamber, and that doesn't fix the burrs that are no longer sharp from grinding the plastic into our coffee. The result is too much fine coffee powder mixed with the ground coffee. I hope I just got a defective unit. I'm looking at the bunn or the kitchen-aid to replace it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful! Comment: Had it for 4 months now and have been very pleased. The first coffee grinder I've used and I had it down in one try.
It couldn't be easier to set the grind level and how many cups of coffee you want to make with it. The top part twists for the grind level. The slide on the top for how many cups. Then hit the button! Makes even grounds and is VERY fast. Plus it's a very attractive grinder.
My house makes at least a pot or two of coffee a day and we all love it.
Only two reasons I didn't give it 4 stars. One is that it is hard to clean. But honestly we don't clean out the grounds everyday since we use it so much anyway, so it's not that big of a problem. Other is that it's pretty loud. Since it's so fast though it's not loud for very long. Hasn't woken me up but I'm a deep sleeper :)
