Summary: good price
Comment: I purchased this Respirator for occasional use in shop. It works well and achieves an excellent seal even with a goatee I had no problems. The reason I only gave it 4 stars is the face piece rubber/plastic feels cheaper than I expected. Time will tell if that becomes an issue as it hasn't thus far. Then again for the price you wont find one better, I've had several and this 1 is tops for the price. Do like the drop-down latch which takes it off your face 1 handed for short breaks. [...]

Summary: Educate yourself before buying
Comment: There is a little more to buying/using a respirator that you need to consider. First - chose the correct size/fit. That's hard to do over the net. Second be clean shaven - beards render the face mask/fit useless. Three - make sure you use the correct cartridge for the contaminant you are protecting yourself from. Four - clean and store them properly. Sanitize and place in a clean bag. Last but not least - perhaps most important, make sure you are physical fit to use a respirator. All respirators are restrictive, so if you have diminished pulmonary function or cardiac issues check with your Doc. Get a professional opinion on your fitness to use one. As an aside particle dust masks for wood, non asbestos plaster, not lead, not cadmium, dust etc. are far less restrictive and do the job well that they are designed for- again with the proper fit and care. The 3 rating is not for the produce but rather lack of information.

Summary: good product
Comment: This product works great and the flip down feature is a big plus. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that I sometimes have to fiddle with it to get a good seal but this is not uncommon for these respirators. Once I get it sealed it seems to stay sealed. I have no problems breathing but I haven't done anything very physical while wearing it. When painting I sometimes can still get a faint smell of the paint otherwise I'd give it a five star rating.

Summary: mask....good but nose area hurts my nose
Comment: The mask is easy to use and really filters out chemicals. However if worn for more than 20 or more, the nose peice begins to hurt my nose. My old mask, forgot what brand, does not have the problem. Maybe I can do something to fix it. The rubber around the nose just seems a little hard.

Summary: Breathe Well During and After Woodworking
Comment: The Quicklatch took a minimal amount of adjustment and figuring out how to use and use well. I particularly like the head harness feature which keeps the respirator right under your nose...literally. No more trying to figure out where I laid the thing down. It works very well and along with my Jet Air Filtration system keeps my breathing much, much easier. I have a small shop with no room or budget at the moment for a dust collection system. For now, this respirator is a life saver....Highly Recommended!
