Customer Rating: Summary: LOVED this workout! not as spastic, smoother transitions, variety, excellent for basic taebo-ers Comment: I've been doing Taebo basic tapes for several years, not advanced, because the basic is more my pace. I'm VERY happy and excited with this one because:
1) more gradual warm-up and transition into workout
2) the pace of it is perfect for beginner to intermediate...I could get through the whole thing without stopping in the middle of any moves but still felt very challenged and burned plenty of calories. IF YOU CAN DO THE OTHER TAEBO BASIC TAPES, YOU CAN DO THIS.
3) on some of the moves that are more difficult and fast ("double time")--he only does 1 or 2 sets so you can keep up with the pace and not have to stop. (on previous tapes, the double time was too fast or too long or awkward, I couldn't even move fast enough to keep up, or my muscles would cramp up. not so on this tape).
4) the music isn't annoying, and has a consistent beat throughout
5) still uses a lot of the same moves from previous tapes, but this one has some new sequences and variety to keep it interesting.
6) If I don't have time for the full 40 minutes, I could stop at 20, 25, 30 and still have burned a lot of calories, and had enough consistent, total body action.
7) more thorough, not-rushed cool-down, with some new tai-chi-like moves/breathing.
No regrets with this purchase. Would highly recommend it.
Customer Rating: Summary: Taebo Cardio Comment: This Taebo Cardio workout is just ok to me. I thought it was kinda slow to be effective enough for a good cardio workout. I personally like the Taebo Amped workouts a lot better. They really get you sweating and pumped up, especially with the amplifier.
Customer Rating: Summary: Billy Blanks Tae Bo Cardio Comment: I have purchased other Billy Blanks Tae Bo tapes in the past and have been very pleased, but was somewhat disappointed with this one. The cardio level is definitely beginner and I barely broke a sweat....not for someone looking for a challenge.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great to change up your routine Comment: I agree with others that this DVD doesn't give the intense cardio workout that it proclaims to give, but it is a great mix-up to my exercise routine. I recently pulled it out of my DVD storage to change up my cardio routine. I consider myself to be at an intermediate level but believe me I felt this workout the first few times I did it. It has been at least 3 years since I've done this workout. I've been doing it once every couple of days for about 2 weeks now and it's getting to be a little dull and I now need something more intense but it's definitely a great workout to do sparingly.
Customer Rating: Summary: Only a "1" because it's for a Beginner Comment: I'll make this short. I am a tae bo junkie. If you are a beginner this is for you, if you are intermediate, use it on your "off day" and if you are advanced, don't buy it. I didn't know it's level....waste of money, but I gave it to a friend wanting to try tae bo for the first time.
