Editorial Reviews:

"Tact is the ability to describe others as they see themselves." Rather than the dour soul he sometimes appeared to be, Abraham Lincoln enjoyed a fine, often barbed sense of humor as this lively collection of his salty stories, anecdotes, quotes and speech excerpts proves. Also included in this treasury are his famous addresses, a Lincoln time-line, and sections on Lincoln Lore, Gettysburg Gems and Assassination Secrets.

Customer Rating: Summary: Lotta Wisdom in Little Book Comment: It's tough to sum up Lincoln's "wit and wisdom" in a single volume, but this little book takes a valiant stab at it. Personally, I found it a nice work to accompany a more substantial biography or Civil War piece.
Customer Rating: Summary: Lincoln Comment: Only knowing what little they teach you in grade school about this man, i bought this book to learn a little more. This is a good book to do this. I found after reading this that i really like this great man. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get a quick glimpse of Mr. Lincoln.
I hope this review is helpful to some.
Customer Rating: Summary: 'Pocket Lincoln' Comment: As a US History teacher, this small and inexpensive book brings personality and life to one of our most beloved Presidents. An excellent value and one that is more likely to be read and enjoyed than larger, more in depth works. Middle School kids get a kick out of the quotes.
Customer Rating: Summary: Very Entertaining Comment: Reading this book gives insight as to the person Lincoln was. His wit and humor, his suffering and astute personality. You will get to know this great person simply by reading his own thoughts put forth in his own words.
Customer Rating: Summary: Nice Work & Collection of Quotes Comment: The book is divided nicely into categories and is a good book that doesn't need long periods of time for reading. You will enjoy many of the stories and quotations from Mr. Lincoln. A nice compilation.
